Frequently Asked Questions

What to Expect When You're Joining Us

We’re here to support you every step of your perinatal journey—through pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Wondering if you can drop in for just one class? Curious about how soon you can return to exercise after giving birth? You’re not alone, and we’ve got answers. Here’s everything you need to know about our classes, care, and community.

Classes, Packages & Attendance FAQ

  • Yes, you're welcome to drop in for a single class or workshop! We know every schedule (and every season of parenthood) is different. You can register for just one class, or choose from our 4- or 8-class packages if you plan to attend more regularly.

Packages can be used for most yoga and movement classes and offer flexibility with a bit of savings, too.

  • Yes! Class packages can be used for Pregnant to Parent classes—and we offer a deep discount when you do. These classes are such a valuable part of the pregnancy journey, and we want to encourage more families to take advantage of them. Using a class package makes it easier and more affordable to attend regularly and build confidence as you prepare for birth and parenthood.

  • Yes! For pregnancy-focused classes, partners and support people are always welcome. Class descriptions will indicate whether you’ll need one or two registrations. For child-focused classes, caregivers and multiple parents are also welcome. Registration is based on the number of children attending—not the number of adults.

  • Yes! Babies in arms are always welcome. We also offer classes for older babies who are crawling or walking. If you’re unsure which class is the best fit, feel free to reach out so we can help you choose one.

  • All of our class offerings can be booked online through our class schedule. We recommend registering early, as space is limited.

Prenatal Yoga & Pregnancy Support FAQ

  • Absolutely! Our prenatal yoga classes are beginner-friendly and welcoming to all experience levels. Our certified prenatal yoga instructors create a supportive space where every movement can be modified to meet your comfort level. Whether it’s your first class ever or just your first time practicing while pregnant, you’ll feel supported and safe.

  • You can start prenatal yoga at any point in your pregnancy. Many people begin in the first trimester to support regular movement and reduce discomforts early on.

  • Absolutely. Prenatal yoga is a gentle, supportive form of movement designed to meet the needs of your changing body. All of our instructors are trained in perinatal care and tailor classes for all trimesters.

That said, if you have specific medical concerns or a high-risk pregnancy, it’s always a good idea to check in with your provider before starting any new form of movement.

  • Yes. Our instructors specialize in adapting poses for pregnancy-related aches and pains, and are ready to adapt classes based on students’ comfort and ability. Small class sizes allow us to tailor movements to your individual needs and preferences. You may also benefit from pelvic floor physical therapy, which can help reduce pain and improve function.

  • Even the most experienced yoga teachers often lack specific guidance and training on supporting the pregnant body. Our prenatal yoga classes are led by credentialed instructors and tailored to support you safely through each trimester. You'll also enjoy the shared experience of being part of a community with other pregnant mamas.

  • Just bring yourself and a water bottle! Mats and props are provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement.

  • We recommend starting your doula search early in pregnancy so you have time to find the right fit. A doula can provide incredible support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period—so the sooner you connect, the more continuity of care you'll have.

Postpartum Recovery & Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy FAQ

  • We recommend beginning slowly with gentle movements to reconnect with your deep core and pelvic floor. Those gentle movements can typically be done after 4-5 weeks postpartum, if there were no complications. We recommend checking out the postpartum classes on our class schedule, such as a Postpartum Yoga Class or a Postpartum Exercise Class (both are ideal after that 5-6 week mark and up to 12 months postpartum). We also have some mom and baby classes you might be interested in, as well as postpartum personal training.

It's a great idea to reach out to us if you have any specific questions or get to class early so you can speak with the instructor and movements can be adapted to your needs. We have small classes to accommodate individual needs.

  • Yes! We offer one-on-one postpartum personal training designed to meet you exactly where you are in your recovery. Whether you're just a few weeks out or a few months (or even years) in, our certified personal trainer specializes in postpartum bodies and can help you rebuild strength safely and confidently. We’ll start with a personalized assessment and create a movement plan tailored to your energy, goals, and schedule. You're not alone in figuring this out. We're here to support you every step of the way!

  • We offer a range of postpartum services designed to care for your body, mind, and overall well-being. Our team provides pelvic floor physical therapy, postpartum personal training, breastfeeding support, and more. We also host a variety of classes and workshops tailored to new parents, including postpartum yoga, baby care classes, newborn sleep classes, and small-group fitness classes. Be sure to check out our Pregnant to Parent class series, which covers everything you need to know about pregnancy, childbirth, and the fourth trimester.

  • Pelvic floor physical therapy is incredibly helpful during and after pregnancy. During pregnancy, it can relieve discomfort, improve stability in your core and hips, and help you prepare for birth by learning how to support and protect your pelvic floor. After baby, pelvic PT can address issues like leaking (incontinence), prolapse, pelvic pain, painful sex, c-section scarring, diastasis recti, and core weakness. Our pelvic floor therapists are here to support you at every stage of your perinatal journey.

  • You do not need a referral to start physical therapy. We’re happy to provide superbills for insurance reimbursement.
